Loaves & Fishes is a non-profit, volunteer driven agency fulfilling a basic need by feeding the hungry. Our aim is to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Loaves & Fishes provides coordination, facility rental and maintenance, oversight, public relations, emergency food, advocacy, and volunteer training to over 5000 volunteers annually. |

Volunteers working in 245 serving teams provide food, cook dinner, and help with the cleanup in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Over 300,000 meals were served at our 7 sites in 2001. |

We ask no questions of our guests - there are no entry requirements other than showing respectful behavior for everyone.
Among our guests, over half are female, about 40% are Caucasian, and over 30% are children. At some of our sites half our guests are children. |

Loaves & Fishes staff are present at each site to work alongside volunteers in the kitchen and dining hall. In addition, the staff networks with other community agency providers and offers referrals to guests for appropriate social services. |
